Martin made only 1375 EM-18 guitars from 1979-1982. This is a very cool guitar with a neck-through body, amazing warm tone, and a variety of settings including series, split and parallel. These allow for pristine single-coil sounds and screaming humbucker tones. The 18 series was Martin's first solid body electric guitar, and was designed by Dick Boak. With serial number 3189, this puts this guitar's manufacturing date squarely in 1980. This guitar does not come with the original case, but has a Roadrunner plastic molded hardshell case. The guitar is in excellent shape, with only a few dings and scratches. The case is in very solid working shape.
